About Amallight
Our story, our mission, and the values behind everything we build.
What does Amallight mean?
"Amal" means hope in Arabic — and hope is exactly what we're trying to bring. Combined with "light", the name represents our commitment to being a source of clarity and warmth for people in difficult moments.
Why we built this
The gap we noticed
Mental health support has traditionally been inaccessible — expensive, slow, and often intimidating. Most people don't reach out until things get really bad. We wanted to build something you'd turn to before that point, as low-barrier as opening a notes app.
Where it started
Amallight came from years of coaching young athletes and watching mental health struggles go unaddressed. Hussein saw that people needed somewhere to put their feelings before those feelings grew too heavy — somewhere private, nonjudgmental, and genuinely useful.
Privacy as the foundation
From day one, privacy wasn't a feature — it was the starting point. Everything in Amallight is encrypted, anonymous, and yours. A truly safe space has to be technically safe, not just emotionally.
Technology in service of humans
We're a technology company, but our goal was never to replace human connection — it was to make it easier to reach. Moa is great for daily reflection, but she was designed to be a bridge to real human support when you need it.

Founder & Full-Stack Developer · Stockholm, Sweden
Hussein is a full-stack developer with a background in mental health technology and human-centered design. After over a decade of coaching young athletes and witnessing firsthand how mental health struggles go unaddressed, he decided to build something about it.
Amallight is the product of that experience: a platform designed to lower the barrier to emotional support, remove the stigma, and make help feel accessible before a crisis develops. Hussein brings technical depth and genuine personal commitment to every part of the platform.
His mission is simple: build bridges between people and support, in a way that feels human — not clinical.
What guides everything we build
These aren't posters on a wall — they're the actual decisions we make every day.
Hope
"Amal" means hope. Every feature we ship is designed to kindle a little light in difficult moments — not solve everything, just help.
Compassion
Zero judgment. From Moa's tone of voice to how we handle data, everything is built around treating people with genuine care.
Trust
Privacy isn't a feature — it's the starting point. We encrypt everything, share nothing, and let users delete their data completely at any time.
Accessibility
Support in English, Swedish, and Arabic. Built for mobile. Free to use. Because mental health support shouldn't have a waitlist or a price tag.
Our mission in one line
Make it as easy to reach for emotional support as it is to send a text — by building a private, warm, and genuinely useful space for anyone who needs it.
